Dear Volunteers,
Our new building is almost complete! We are in the last days of cooking in our current kitchen, and because things are moving so quickly, we want to let you know about what is happening. On Wednesday, Jan 25, we will be sending out 2 bag lunch meals and a frozen meal to our clients, and we will not be delivering on Thursday, Jan 26 & Friday, Jan 27. We will resume meal delivery on Monday Jan 30, but we don't know yet if we will need to send out extra meals sometime next week in order to actually complete our move in and start cooking in our new kitchen. We have a list of things that must be completed and those things are being pushed to be finished by our final inspection on Monday, Jan 30. If all goes well with this, we will be sending you new information about what to expect for meal pickup in the new building as soon as we know when that will be.
We do know that other than inspection, we will have to have our driveway completed on the new pickup side, so we may actually be cooking in the new kitchen and picking up on the usual side (current process) until the driveway is completed and ready. Until you get a text or a call from me, just assume that everything is the same until you're told otherwise.
Wednesday (tomorrow), we have a LOT of open routes to find drivers for. If you would like to take your route, please message or call me asap this afternoon because I will be looking to fill the following routes: 8, 9, 13, 18, 16B, 17B, 20B & 11R in Blacksburg.

Remember, we will NOT be delivering on Thursday and Friday of this week! But Monday we will be delivering meals. I will keep you all in the loop as much as I can through text messages and I'll be posting updates here on this blog.
